I’m assuming that the rescue team couldn’t identify the person due to damages to the body.
Meaning the identity had to be confirmed later by someone else (a coroner, probably)
Yeah it started sometime in 2022. Though also for Windows 10.
It also has some hardware requirements, so most older laptops wouldn’t have the issue.
Or just turn off fast Startup in the power settings.
I meant that you can thankfully disable it with group policy so that the 3000 laptops I manage at work don’t all cook in backpacks every day.
A lot of modern windows laptop don’t let you shut them down.
They use something called Windows Hybrid Sleep and it should be illegal. Selecting shut down in windows will keep the machine in a state where it will turn on at random times to check for updates. Especially fun whrn in your backpack creating a furnace.
Thankfully it can be disabled via AD policy.
Norway would, and does! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Library_of_Norway
All media published in Norway (includes streaming) is required to have a copy sent to the national library.
Edit: Though any licensed media is only available on their network, sadly no taking home. Though things like news papers are publicly available anything from 2 to 7 days later. (when it’s irrelevant)
Norway actually does this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Library_of_Norway
Any and all media published (includes streaming) in Norway is required to be supplied to the national library.
It’s quite neat, they’ve discovered some lost media in their archives a couple times too, this is one example: https://www.thehistoryblog.com/archives/33888
Edit: Though licensed content is not accessible outside their networks, can’t stream the latest episode of your goto TV show for free online at home.
Since you say media and not specifically show or movie.
There’s a manga based on ubuntu: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubunchu!
The story follows the activities of the three members of the Ichinomiya Prefectural High School’s system administration club (part of the wider IT club). Each chapter is focused on a certain aspect of the Ubuntu operating system or a related topic, such as command-line interfaces, input methods, Linux Mint, or software licensing.
The main issue was people playing in virtual machines on Macs. Wine/proton was already whitelisted
Definitely won’t without an algorithm, the general public would hate just seeing random videos not tailored to their preferences.
+1 for canta!
I’ve had similar, I clicked skip, same thing, clicked skip again, same thing, clicked skip… Then it just passed me as not a bot
Yeah it seems mostly SEO bait whenever I get results for it. I mostly rely on “awesome” lists on GitHub to find actual alternatives.
It is a race and being faster than your competitors means you win. It’s a game and the reward is dopamine.
If you happen to torrent a fair bit (especially public trackers) then ipv6 can make a huge difference, there’s loads of ipv6 only seeders and leechers I’m suddenly reaching.
My solution to #1 is installing it in a VM and copying the installed game over. It works, but quite annoying
Creds for leaving it up though.
