Reddit -> Beehaw until I decided I didn’t like older versions of Lemmy (though it seems most things I didn’t like are better now) -> kbin.social (died) -> kbin.run (died) -> fedia.

I paid more that that for a bit smaller apartment in Tokyo that had no bills included. That’s not even in the pricier parts of Tokyo. Only difference was a sliding door between the beedroom and the rest and bath position. I did have a small veranda for drying clothes (and, in my case, growing some pepper plants).
I actually planned on doing the same thing since the only alternative I could think of was mspaint for planning my garden rows in the fields.
I had a ton of sprouted garlic and potatoes. Got most of those into the ground (only stopped to save more room for other stuff). We’ve dipped back below zero the last couple of days, thwarting my plans to plant some other things (mostly brassicas) before our mini-vacation down to Tokyo (and half-day of work I need to do for my main job). When we get back, hopefully it will stay above freezing so I can continue with everything. I’ll mostly be growing peppers to sell (and eat, of course), this year.
I suppose q_a is an option (and why I purposefully skipped it above, heh)
Just do 3 letters for all: dev, uat, stg, prd, etc.
I don’t think most people would care unless the community rules forbid it. Some might be curious, some might skip it, and you might get a nettouyo being a racist twat every now and again.
Everybody learns the Latin alphabet and English in school (used to be Jr high but pushed back to elementary recently). Proficiency levels are low, especially in speaking and listening, and shyness/fear of mistakes are factors. However, reading can be pretty decent. Of course, people very good at English also exist.
Could also be that many use machine translation, at least for the output side.
Mastadon seems to have a lot. I don’t see much outside of it personally.
Red Leicester, cheddar, etc. are not real cheese? 0.o
Several cheeses included anatto and other similar things, so the association may come from that (which can dye the cheese) as much or more than the color itself.
It could be that, despite many (most?) pizzas having more white cheese, the white cheese is more prevalent but, particularly in the US, cheese is often associated with yellow/orangish tones so they included it to match that expectation. They’re a big company and these came out in the '90s IIRC, so I imagine it was researched and focus-grouped to death before launch and, since two cheeses are almost certainly more expensive than one, there’s probably a reason there are two.
I have tablets that run android and an old laptop I run on Linux and it’s great. For video editing, games, and niche software, it can suck for someone with little time.
As someone tried to build the snes9x-nwaemu fork from scratch today after spending hours fighting the Linux mint updater getting stuck, ahhhhhhhhjjj. I still have to have windows for a couple of things anyway which makes this all the more annoying. The update also wrecked my davinci install which I need to produce videos. Also, I work two jobs so not a ton of time for this.
Good news! Most of the world would find that extremely weird (as with calling a room with no baths a bathroom). I think it’s due to the euphemism treadmill.
If it’s fixed to a waterproof wall, it would work. Weird, but work.
Is it called the Jetta there? I know some cars have regional model names.
I mean, I lost all my old posts (or at least access to them) when two instances I was on just poof’d.
It’s interesting. I’ve been considering fencing options to act as windbreaks as we get really wicked winds here. It would be neat if that were an option. Durability is definitely something I’m curious about. We also get to the upper 30s in summer and probably 40 by the time I retire, so I wonder what efficiency looks like at those temps.
I could be connected to the internet but unable to route to something so there may be cases where an internet connection does not strictly mean the internet is working properly
