why do the levels/scenes change unexpectedly? like it restarts before the time ran out from 1-3 to 1-1 or suddenly it’s underground without entering.
that’s a bit risky. the foreign computer could capture passwords.
however, in that use case, you could either display the password on the phone and manually enter it or use a portable keepass on a usb stick
Linux: How to run: https://docs.appimage.org/introduction/quickstart.html#ref-how-to-run-appimage Download: https://keepassxc.org/download/#linux
Windows only: https://keepass.info/help/v2/setup.html#portable
How about KeePass then? It’s an encrypted local database file you can sync/backup how and where you want. There are clients to open/edit it for Android, Linux and even Windows. The Android version can use fingerprint, if your phone has this hardware.
I think it would be wise to disconnect it from the internet, wifi and bluetooth; then it should be fine.
The default for many apps seems to be a Subscribed feed.
However, I prefer to browse all and block/filter things I don’t want to see and I think it’s okay that this has the downside of seeing a cross post multiple times. I knew what I was getting myself into.
It’s just annoying that I have to copy an important comment into all posts to reach everyone interested.
you’re not the first. there absolutely are multiplatform launcher scripts. i have used one for installers a few years ago.
idk. i have never used nix. however, i think a specialty of gentoo are global USE flags. it’s a list of compile time options you want to use. they will automatically be used for packages that support them. for example, if you enable the bluetooth flag, all packages you install will get bluetooth support and additional dependencies may get pulled in. if you use -bluetooth however, they won’t get bluetooth support, even if it’s their default. they can also be tweaked indivudually per package, which is more like nix, i think.
Updating on Gentoo works with it’s package management, but the actual packages are source code archives (and maybe patch files). It downloads them, compiles and installs them in a special build environment, then, if it worked, applies them to the system and removes the old version.
there are lorem ipsum generators, but if you want real words, i would suggest using spell checker dictionaries filtered by words longer than 2 or 3 characters.
It’s like you want to misunderstand me. I’m not bashing Wayland. That part of my comment isn’t about WMs and compositors. It’s about how hard it is to make macro that does a few clicks and types a few keys into an app etc… It’s still very hard in Wayland. I’m sure it will get better some day, but we’re not there yet.
To clarify: This causes problems like ugly font rendering and some games not working, etc.
You misunderstood totally. I’m not saying it’s not possible. There isn’t a compositor making use of those things, but many X WMs that do.
Java GUI applicatiins have to use the X compatibility layer of Wayland at the moment, because Wayland support hasn’t been integrated into JREs yet
Depends things like shaped window borders for theming, title bars in hyprland, effects, pagers, some automation options, etc…
What I generally miss in Wayland is better mouse automation support, Java support, the ability to have multiple mouse cursors and assign them to different input devices.
They are called compositors, but they are not as good as X WMs IMO. I’m keeping an eye on them tho.
It still bothers me how toxic the hyprland devs behaved last year. Keeping an eye on that too 😉
it just means they can’t help you, if you have an issue. of course you can still connect to their VPN.
Maybe Ubuntu should sell Anti-Ubuntu merch too, just like Elvis manager sold both, “I hate Elvis” and actual Elvis merch.
it’s not open source tho.
and while nvidia stock price tanked a bit, it also had smaller bumps back up again. could even out over the next weeks.
btw ARM Holdings stocks have entered what I consider the affordable range, since Trump is tanking the US economy. Still RISCy. Just sayan.
