I question my choice of Nvidia every day
I never run into this. Mostly because I don’t use grub
That’s a good one, but it’s only for Japanese.
Of course, you can’t easily extend that to other languages unless you have conjugation/declension tables. When I want to learn a word I need to be adding the base form to Anki, not the actual word said
You’re talking about learning with texts
It’s not great for languages like Korean where you might have a lot of different conjugations that will be detected as new words
Maybe it should be.
StarCraft would not be so hard to make. But nobody did that, even though 0 AD exists to clone age of empires 2
It even works as a 2D game so no modeling experience necessary
I run it in Firefox, though
Open source language learning only has Anki. Everything else is in an enbryonic stage.
There are so many low hanging fruits. Add-on to look up words in subtitles and add it to Anki. Luo dingo clone that’s a bit less tedious (without having to write so much of your native language). Clozemaster clone (unless someone knows how to set up Anki to do this)
Sure, all software has vulnerabilities, I just don’t think people will bother to exploit my particular software combination since it’s rare
Nobody’s writing a NixOS virus to target me. Even if I download a linux virus it will probably complain about unmet dependencies

This only includes packages that are also in other distros
This is just very surface level discussion. Didn’t even mention that NixOS lets you roll your system back to any previous configuration or has the most packages of any distro
I still don’t know what people use to create services other than systemd
If you’re writing bash scripts you’re basically replicating a lot of the functionality of systemd but with larger foot guns
Why would I trust Fedora over the developers of the package?
The Fedora maintainers shipped broken software, they should be the ones to explain themselves
Try NixOS. The killer feature is mixing old and new packages because deps are not globally installed
The entire app could be a snap to set up
I refuse to use snaps
It was just as easy to install linux, it came with a graphical installer
