Ehhh all my important files are sync’d to my NAS. I have a script that just apt installs everything I normally use. Sometimes it’s just faster than troubleshooting. Usually if I’m about to do something whacky I clone my disk and use the clone. If it works it’s my new primary, if it doesn’t nothing lost.
There’s a special place in hell for those people.
OSX peaked in the 2000s and early 2010s. Apple started walling it off more and more a decade ago.
Their hardware has gotten better in the past 5 years with the m series chips and getting rid of that terrible keyboard though.
None of my friend’s parents growing up would sue the school, but they were all the type of parents to go in and argue with teachers over grades. It was usually to go from a B to an A or some bullshit.
My parents on the other hand were more like, you fucked that up didn’t you if I didn’t do well on something. I would have been mortified if they argued about grades on my behalf.

Started on the 'buntu in 2005 or 2006. Distro hopped for a decade until I found Solus. That had some dark times a few years ago but seems to be back now but I moved to Debian anyway. Feels right.
Same. I still have Solus on my old laptop but I mostly only use that when I travel. Its the same install I’ve been using since 2018 with no issues. I did not install on my new laptop because hardware wasn’t supported on available install image and it seemed like Solus was on its last legs and not worth jumping through hoops for.
Aptitude has a GUI? I’ve been using it purely CLI for years.

Every time I try kde I get pissed off that every time I make a settings change I have to hit apply as well. Gnome I just change the settings and close the window. Plus I can never figure out how to switch workspaces. I like super+scroll wheel or swiping on a laptop.
