Last year I got told to RTFM and was linked to a documentation page that said
STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Which was very helpful
I hate people who only release on flatpak
You could just read what OP said
Many posts in this community recently making fun of gimp. Do you see anyone in the comments going WELL ACTUALLY IF YOU JUST USE IMAGEMAGICK? No.
You really don’t see why people would suggest using other GUI alternatives for image manipulation? image manipulation?
Plenty of things to complain about in the big DE’s like KDE and Gnome. But do you see people saying “just use tty”? Also no
“People don’t recommend entirely dropping GUI over one or two GUI issues!” Shocker, wow. They do condescendingly say 'just go into terminal and do x,y,z" though, like I said
Nope, I encourage people to learn CLI but to also use GUI if it does what they need it to. The insult was only to people who think they’re superior for using CLI cuz that’s a silly stance
Just laughing at the meme being backwards from my own personal experience
Lol, meme’s backwards
CLI evangelists try to shit on GUI constantly, as though it makes them better at computers. It doesn’t, kids
Can see it in this very thread
Off the top of my head all but STO will work no issue
ProtonDB says STO is gold rates, but you gotta use the experimental branch. Otherwise, will work pretty flawlessly
PROTONDB is gonna be a great resource: it’ll tell you how playable any game is right now using Proton (you can force non steam games to run proton ezpz by launching through steam)
Localhost NAS with large storage, Rclone to seedbox, synch, remove old content from seedbox
Source: I have 8TB rn and about to add more, this is how I use my seedbox and store shit
after like the 3rd time I was forced stop it from hiding my library and them pushing services in my face
Seeing shit like this makes me wonder what different Plex I’m using from everyone else. Pinned my local library at the top 4 years ago and now every device shows that tab first when logging in and hasn’t ever behaved differently except when the home server is down (it’ll still go to the tab but read OFFLINE)
Don’t post identifying shit in the first place if you don’t want it up. Learn how search functions work if you don’t wanna manually shift through shit.
Like I said: loss of information because people are whiny babies about this shit is a bigger deal to me than someone removing information nobody else actually gives a shit about
No, I’m not. As stated: reading comprehension
My problem is mass deletion without consideration. Obviously if something is identifiable: remove it, but don’t do so en masse without looking. It’s not ideal, but it’s your right to remove identifying info. If it doesn’t actually ID someone they should leave it the fuck alone
Great reading comprehension dude
Honestly? No, they should t be able to blanket delete everything theyve posted on the off chance it’s identifiable information
They should have the right to find that info and remove it, but I’m 1000% against people potentially taking down useful information from society and I do not care that people want to whine about their “right” to take their fucking ball back and end the game
So much useful info gone from Reddit because babies didn’t want to keep supporting the bad site and now good luck finding it anywhere else
My kindle could already handle everything the Kobo I was looking at could do, but was far cheaper than the Kobo due to a sale (and Amazon thinking I’m dumb enough to be locked into their system)
Literally using Calibre is enough to turn your Kindle into a piracy machine, so if you can get one cheap it’s long been my recommendation for people
it keeps non tech savvy people out,
Picking a server isn’t a tech savvy person thing to do and it’s a good idea to stop pretending like it is. My wife, who needs me to move her steam games to other drives for her, managed to do it without asking me a thing. Tech skill has nothing to do with it
Especially when the settings are named the same/similar as other apps but do different things
Just fucking comment line quickly what the fucking thing does you dickheads, or use your settings page for more than 3 things and stop hiding everything else in your fucking .YAML (also Stop using .YAML)
SteamTinkerLaunch let’s you easily launch VMM and MO2 for basically any game, for anything else it should usually be as simple as finding the Linux path for your game and moving files by hand
that’s a lot of porn
You’re sorting by hot, shouldn’t it be only porn? /s
Your updates are managed by your organization
Then why the FUCK am I getting a pop-up asking me about it? That’s the gore
It takes all of 30s to spin up a new Reddit account, just has to have a new name that isn’t already taken. If anything it’s easier than on a lot of Lemmy instances
