Hahahah, same! I use a folders named as the hostname to build that machine’s config on the fly. And all my config files are in one repo that then I stow
I have a whole system around it, different machines sharing their config files (over a git repo), so if I tweak one, the others catch-up.
Also, you can “build the config file” (I am cat-ing several dynamic blocks depending on the machine I am sitting on) and then init the DE.
Why did you pick DK among the “same kind” ones? (like i3wm, which is what I currently use)
Interesting, do you know i3wm? If so, what is the advantage of spectrwm over it?
Finally a cultured person!
Arch. Yes, it is a tough start, yes, you’ll type stuff on the terminal, but my good god…
Honestly, I don’t remember. I set up the tv for my parents (fedora + gnome + rustdesk) a long while ago and it has been running with no issues
I think Gnome is quite simple for old folks. Just make the dock with pinned apps (or panel or whatever it is called) always visible, and that’s a solid experience.
i3wm has been my daily driver for the past 4 years. I just flow on it
Ctl-D is the End-of-File character. Programs interpret it as “that’s it, the input you were reading has finished”, and react accordingly.
Abstract
(…) The purpose of the present review was to identify the known cardiovascular effects of flaxseed and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and, just as importantly, what is presently unknown.
Conclusion
In view of these data, it is possible to advocate a potential pleiotropic effect of ALA beyond the more conventional cholesterol-lowering actions of most cardiovascular drugs. Most importantly, the body of ALA research now argues persuasively for the initiation of careful, randomized, controlled trials of dietary flaxseed and/or ALA in a patient population with symptoms of atherosclerotic heart disease.
So…we got nothing 😅.
Interesting! Sources?
I would call the gene fingerer
Hahahha, I just learnt about that gene a little while ago and thought the same: that’s an stupid name for a gene. How would you name them? (the gene and the command)
It sounds fun and “magic” but it is hella scary to blindly run some “fixed” command
It does make sense! When you modify a file, you do “things” on it, you write it. So the minimum you can possibly do to a file to modify it, is “to poke it”: to touch it.
Some people just wanna see the world burn
Good job! Flexible tools empower us. Keep it up and spread the love with other people!
