Its also repeatable. Usually the same commands and ways work on the majority of systems. If you want to do that with a GUI you have to refresh a tutorial etc. Every time they change the UI. With CLI commands this usually isn’t the case.

Or if you like it simple I can only recommend Jerboa
Absolutely accurate tag
According to my google account I’m 55 years old.
What Klient allows you to create tags for users?
You dont even have to say that communism is bad. Saying that Stalin was kinda bad and killed millions of people gets you banned.
Oh, so youre already coming near the end. The last two books are fucking great. They are absolutely fantastic.
Still trying to figure out how to make workspaces/virtual desktops more…usable
That’s a thing about gnome. The multiple desktops are great and easy to switch between. Especially on a laptop you can easily switch between them with the trackpad, or if you have, by using the touchscreen.
Nice
That do be true tbh, however, Paris have been, at least in the past few years, quite invested in fighting cars, so I’m inclined to think that this graphic is true.
My laptop has an 8th gen i5 and so far everything works(except my pipewire beig constantly broken).
I gonna be absolutely honest, gnome is fantastic for laptops.
I prefer grey knights over Ultramarines.
How the fuck do you have a decade old arch installation? I have to reinstall it about every half a year because something breaks and its to complicated to fix it so I just choose to reinstall everything. In the 18 Months or so that I used Arch I had to reinstall it about 4 times. I don’t even install that much stuff and I also don’t go absolutely wild with configuration, but Theres A lot of stuff breaking in my system.
I also got used to just ignoring problems because I’m to lazy to reinstall everything or spend hours upon hours fixing my system.
Yeah, but I would really like that swing implemented.
Why does no one mention Mastodon AS an alternative(from the MPs)
So far I tried voyager, eternity, liftoff and Jerboa. Liftoff wasn’t usable and eternity and voyager weren’t exactly my type of UI. I stick with jerboa. I really like the simplicity and how clean and intuitive it is. Only thing lacking is the ability to create communities.
Most instance defederated from because they are tankies that talk a lot of bullshit. However, im not entirely sure if I would really call them leftists. More like communistic Authoritarians, yes, communism is something mound mostly in left communities, but not to sure if their takes on human rights for people with other opinions and stuff like that makes them really left.
That’s why I’m glad my instance blocked them.
For me it really depends. I usually prefer the terminal for very simple tasks, or for tasks that are quite complex (complex in the way, that I dont really know what to do and have to look it up), because then its, at least in my opinion, much easier than having to use a GUI. This also includes such simple tasks as creating directories in my filesystem. I prefer the command line than having to open the file Programm, search for the right folder and then again having to search for the “create folder” button in the menu that pops up when doing right click.
However, I do almost everything regarding file systems (formatting drives etc) with gparted, because its just much more convenient than using a CLI tool.
