From what I’ve read the sub got ban after mods took time to delete violent comments about DOGE employees. Their names got leaked, peoples started to say dumb shit, often violent. Musk threw a fit about it and Reddit banned the sub.

Making death threats is obviously a good reason for a ban but apparently the reason Reddit gave (unmoderated sub) was false as there’s screenshots of the post being actively moderated with plenty of deleted messages. But it’s those kind of posts with 18k comments so I guess it was moving too fast for the moderator team.

I might be wrong, I just read about that from the r/france post our refugees came from. I did not explored in detail as it’s on Reddit and I just don’t care 🤷🏻‍♂️

And to answer your last question, yes. Jlailu is having an influx of new users coming mostly from r/France. From what I’ve read they’re coming after the r/whitepeopletweets (or something like that) ban.

Holy shit! And 3300.- with Zurich, that’s crazy. Yeah you can totally go for the GA at that price point, and you can move during weekends.

I guess living in a city canton makes it cheaper as the network is smaller with more customers.

Same same, I don’t know why they talked about the 6k pass (AG 1st class is 6500, 2nd is 4000) as it isn’t widely used. Most of those are offered to employees at management level by their companies, or by rich people who doesn’t care about money and doesn’t travel by car (so maybe 5 people?)

The rest of the population use the 2nd class AG only if they travel a lot on IC.

And most of us just have a cantonal pass + half fare card for long distances. For my canton it’s 500chf annually (public price, I have it for 370) and for the quality of Swiss public transport I think this is very reasonable.

6k (6500 chf I believe) is the first class GA.

Besides discounts, most people don’t use a GA (that covers 100% of public transport types in 100% of the country) but a way cheaper local pass, like city to city.

GA is awesome tho, but you really need to travel a lot across the country every weeks to really need that.

But what if they taste delicious?

I’m pretty sure humanity in space will go full dog mode, meaning we will have two basic questions:

1. Can I eat it?
2. Can I fuck it?

I just have my vault default location saved on a cloud drive. iCloud in my case as I have an IPhone but I guess it could be done with any cloud or owncloud if you have a server.

I used to use Git, but it is easier to just move the vault on a network/cloud drive as you don’t need to pull/push. As obsidian auto save when you type a character this makes the sync instantaneous with zero effort.

I only had a small understanding problem at the beginning but then I quickly managed to replicate my YNAB (and import the data).

Now that I’m used to it I don’t see any problems and I like it. I believe you can try it locally without running the server version.

The lack of mobile app could be a downside but I don’t budget on my phone.

A simple homemade NAS, mostly for hosting my Plex library, VPN+torrent and cloud.

The synology needs to be emptied, removed and sold.

The m2 Mac mini was hosting some docker like pihole and actual budget but those are now on another Mac mini used as a workstation, so this one will be sold as well.

It is very good but depend on what you want to host.

I have a second hand cheapest M2 with Asahi Linux and some container (like pihole) but not much. I like that it is small, silent and energy efficient (and it can run Xplane12 in 4k !). But I have an homemade NAS so most of the multimedia stuff and containers are on here and not on the MacMini.

The M4 seems incredible, but Asahi Linux only support M1 and 2 at the moment (it might work with M4 tho).

The problem with the mini would be disk space if you are looking for a NAS usage, although I have seen here on lemmy a dude making a Mac Mini NAS (can’t find the post anymore).

But even without Asahi, an M4 with Mac OS, docker and a VM if needed would be plenty of power for price and energy. You can also upgrade to a 10Gbe NIC if your network supports it. Plug it to some screens and you have a workstation + docker server in one place.
