I’ve literally had a non-technical person who used Linux for less than a week fix an issue through the xfce gui while I was googling a solution.

You just need to choose a correct distro and DE for the job.

I get that for sure, but you can still use it only for specific tasks like org-mode LaTeX. It was literally made by some astronomer/astrophysicist to make writing LaTeX easier.

You can always install an arch derivative like endeavour instead and click through the wizard

Or it’s just a distro that allows you to have a list of packages, configs (when it’s not significantly simpler an clearer to just stow), and rollbacks for both. Depends on you.

I believe it’s got a death and purgatory feel to it if you don’t know some coding, so it should go nicely with the card.
