It is alot better, I keep hesitating on dropping the money for an equivalent amd card. I keep telling myself I’ll do vfio and try looking glass. Then I look into the config and shudder. I can deal with a restart a day.
No, I’ve been running Endeavour forever and know his pain quite well. It’s almost always core packages that break it. None of the stuff from the AUR has ever caused issues. That being said he should be using btrfs and taking regular snapshots. Sometimes I feel like installing grub just to make recovering snapshots easier.
Twice this year I’ve had updates break the system, both were core packages. I just restore a snapshot then delay my next update for a couple days and it’s usually fixed.
Yea, I like to suspend my machine, but rather than hit suspend and walk away I have to wait to find out what has prevented suspend from suspending. That and it trying to goto sleep when I don’t want it to. Drives me nuts
There are both private trackers and indexers specifically for audiobooks. Find them. The biggest tracker for it has an application process, read the rules and you’ll get an invite. Usenet… I can’t even remember how I got an invite
Every time I open Amazon it tries to get me to watch whatever drivel they’ve made lately, Fallout and Bosch are the only things I’ve watched in years from Prime Video, and downloaded them both from the high seas. I dunno what Freevee is, but I’m not watching anything on it.
I have a friend in Portugal who uses semaglutide that’s compounded by a local pharmacy for about 35euros a month. I, in Canada still pay $230/month for Ozempic. For $120/month I could take a 2.5mg dose similar to Wegovy which in Canada right now is $400ish
Its the same drug, just no prefilled pen. All these pharmacies that offer it in Europe aren’t accessible from North America without a vpn, and then once accessible refuse to ship to Canada.
Yes yes, vim good, nano bad. And rather than have discourse on the matter I’ll call you all fascists and claim you support genocide. Definitely an adult thing to do, good job you.
Nothing, there is nothing wrong with nano. There are what I will call vim purists who think using anything but vim is sacrilege. I’ve been using nano, and it’s predecessor Pico forever and while I can use vim if I need to, I don’t hate myself enough to do so.
I thought Endeavour was just Arch with an installer. Conversion is as simple as swapping repos and removing the eos-hooks package apparently, and depending who you ask: cleansing systemd from your system.
I just switched to Endeavour from Manjaro when I upgraded my hardware, and every update changes the default kernel on the selection screen. I go in and edit the file to change the default from lts to the latest kernel, and the next update switches it right back. It’s maddening, i could do Arch, and I’ve done it on other machines I just don’t have the time for that level of customization. I already waste enough time tinkering.
He’s only the second person I’ve seen to claim working dual monitor on wayland with Nvidia. All my attempts have lasted 5 mins max before something drove me back to X11.
eWaste. We have a contract to give an outside company all our stuff. We degauss and shred hard drives and everything else does in a big bin that they pickup every month.
We have a hard drive degausser and shredder. Lucky bastard taking things home
You’ll wanna use PowerShell. It has its eccentricities when running programs but is a more shell like experience
Oh geez, I’m one of those people who can’t code on paper. I was applying for something ages ago and I went in for a programming test and they handed me a paper test and my mind completely shut down. Put me in front a computer and I have no issues at all… It was embarrassing.
Yea I’ll stick with Arch for the AUR, so many times I’ve come across something I wanted to try and I see .tar.gz and I’m like ehhhh
9/10 it’s on the AUR
VM, I run Virtualbox in full screen on a second monitor for my work stuff. Works great.
Oh well if everything you do on your kindle is above board then I imagine it’s a great device. Having had my jailbroken kindle auto updated to the latest version without me noticing and with no way to revert it, it has left me rather salty about the device. It can still read epubs but it now only receives KFX files from Amazon which can’t be de-drm’d anymore.
Wow, that’s shit. I’ve been with Newsgroup.ninja for the past… decade. I’m grandfathered in on some /r/usenet promotion from a long time ago but they’re still pretty cheap and offer the same retention as easynews. Everything is on usenet, it’s just a matter of finding the right indexer, nice thing is the good indexers just want money so barring a few sites it’s pretty easy to get started.
