I’ve installed Antix on a R51. I’m kinda quirky like that.
Yes, because not many other things can be considered both a symptom and a cure.
It’s hard to find a therapist who meshes well with you and can help you make progress, but a busted Lenovo takes to Arch better than Saint Louis.
I DON’T HAVE A PROBLEM buys 3 more Thinkpads on eBay
I can stop whenever I want. Buys a pallet of busted Thinkpad.
Yeah because all we really need is something to focus our rage at.
Focus the rage at something that is fixable. Good idea actually.
i ironically think than i can better handle stress than my other friends because of grub breaking my sister’s laptop(dual boot) at the worses moments possible, i learned to force me to stay calm to search and read correctly how fix grub before she realized
I am unsure, I feel like Google is watching me and selling my data to OP because I was only yesterday ogling a Thinkpad Yoga X1 precisely for this purpose.
Get a refurb T14 for (relatively) nothing before going hardcore.
Upgrading the ram of my x240 is my therapy
The voices in my head says “daily drive ParrotOS”
I mean, if it helps why not! I honestly really do have a lot of fun tinkering with Linux, it’s one of the big draws of the OS to me.
Because *mumble mumble* no Windows into your soul
I don’t like Windows. They leak a lot of air, they are expensive to replace, and you usually just end up covering them anyway.
I also don’t like the OS much either. lol
My submarine functions so much better since I nailed them all shut.
Costs a lot less than therapy too.
Incidentally:
- which models are the best new old?
- what are the best places to get them?
…asking for a friend.
Fuck that’s relatable I bought one like 4 days ago and it just arrived :'D
Congrats! What model ?
T470p i5-7300hq
It was sold as a t470 i5-7300 buut the PC itself had 470p written on it and the chip I saw when swapping the thermal paste matches the i5-7300hq
Nice, x240 owner here
Cool just testedthre laptop and it boots w.out issues
But I need therapy after installed Arch
i installed LMDE on a used ThinkPad AND went to therapy btw
That is the way
Let’s say I have an old ThinkPad…
Where does one start when trying Arch?
I used some Linux distros before and tinkered a little bit but I’m not too deep into Arch atm (but eager to get into it).
I just followed the comfy arch install guide with some additions from the comments section on YouTube, and I had a working machine quickly.
I feel like I need to get back into Gentoo just to add a lil spice to the horde of Arch users around here :P
Still gonna use Arch on my laptop, bytheway 😅
