For me trying to make GTK softwares to looks consistent with everything else is always a pain in the ass, and don’t get me started on different GTK version themes aren’t compatible with each other, so a GTK3 software doesn’t even looks the same with another GTK software just because it use GTK4.

For now I switch to Cosmic DE until I know what causing it
Chad JS hater:
I use external drive for my important data and if my system is borked (which never happen to me) I just reinstall the OS
Why not use the existing Distros?
I entirely ditched Windows for good for about 1.5 year now (I’m new to Linux and have no prior experience with Linux before that) but for me it’s pretty smooth transition because I also ditched proprietary softwares and learn to use open source softwares, also stop play games that use kernel level anticheat
Right now I’m using “Flat Remix Darkest” but it only affected Lutris and some other gtk3 softwares but no luck with Easyeffect, but it did worked on Gnome disk utility tho
I don’t use Flatpaks only the AUR or build from source as for Easyeffect I install it from the AUR
Thanks I’ll give it a try, No I don’t use Flatpaks I only use the AUR
yes I did tried a lot of themes from gnome look but it only affect gtk3 softwares and maybe some gtk4 softwares, software like Gnome calculator, Easyeffects doesn’t change a thing
how can I archive that on KDE? I never use Gnome before therefore I don’t understand how gtk theming work XD
Apple, Sony, N*****do, Netflix all use BSD but they don’t contribute any code to the BSD project itself, because of the BSD allow other people/company to close source their code when using with BSD
Looking through your response I think you got unlucky updating bad packages causing it to not boot anymore, my advice is to boot Live USB backup your data and reinstall a distro with time shift just to be safe.
As long as all of your drivers working fine, I don’t think it matter all that much on which distro you choose
