Alright, fair. I was more refering to the content of the message, not the (botched) metaphore of maintainers as a force of order.

I read the “thin blue line” email and it seems… reasonable and sensible? And seeing how he is so appaled by it makes me question his judgement a bit.
Nightshade doesnt actually work btw. Denoising, a common technique, also breaks nightshade completely. Its also closed source, with no way to test if it actually works for the big AIs. The person making nightshade is really fishy too.
Diplione fast on yotir or bust!!!
I think thats only if you let them host it, selfhosted is unlimited
Gnu Guix recently had a user survey, and they used limesurvey
Its finally happening??
Well, Matrix is all of that already, it uses its own protocol also called matrix, but its properly federated(unlike bluesky) and its open source. It also has a big userbase. The Matrix protocol is seen as a honorary member of the Fediverse. I think using activitypub may be a bad fit for real time messaging, so them using their own protocol makes sense. There are also XMPP server and clients, who do similar things to matrix, also federated and open source, however they are more like Whatsapp/Telegram etc.
whats happening with benchy?
hmmm, did you try switching(vendor change) all system packages to pacman? (an option in the yast software installation module when you select the repository)
They recently added support for this in the kernel for AMD cpu cores, so this might have changed.
I have to say, I love your crazy AI images. They are really unique and crazy, and you wouldnt get something like this using normal methods of picture creation.
No, this is mainly about power profiles and things like changing the colour of the keyboard lights, details that usually dont work anyway on laptops. Or at least it didnt work on the ones I had.
I have a tuxedo laptop and I put a different OS on it, works just fine. You even get support. I didnt even notice that the power profiles didnt work until I read this blog post.
I used it as my main DE a few years ago, its great! Really cool UI, completely different to all other DE’s but it makes sense, and it has some cool stylings like for example virtual desktops icons being the actual desktops, just really tiny. The bugs, however, kept piling up, and it (segmentation fault)ed too often, so I had to abandon it. Last I heard, the reason it doesn’t get major dev work anymore is that its really hard to work with.
Newpipe is a great and active FOSS Youtube client!
Tuxkart is really great! One of the really good FOSS games, it has multiplayer and it even supports the wiimote :)
This is an extremely important tool for moderating large forums, thank you for working on this! This is one of those mod tools that some people may need to enable large scale moderated federated forums!
sounds great! I hope this gets some traction, because the official wayland protocols are so dead slow that its not even funny anymore. for example the wayland hdr protocol, open for 4 years now: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/-/merge_requests/14
oh wow, no one is left from that disagreement, they both resigned.
