Fuuuuuuuuuuck that
This is dumb as hell, it needs to not happen at all or at the very least be opt-IN.
how can you say something so controversial, yet so brave
There are a lot of people who I don’t think care whether he is found guilty or not tbh
Rule of thumb: If it’s included with an install where you’re clicking through the defaults, to the average user the distinction doesn’t matter, it’s part of the OS
You are aware that Threads and Facebook have the same origins, right?
Surely you’re not directing those comments at Mastodon…
yes. I’m not even that smart of a person but i’ve been coming to the realization that the average has been dropping for my entire lifetime
There are some instances that lean in specific directions, but there are also several that are kind of just melting pots. For the most part I don’t need to use blocks too frequently, but there are definitely some spaces/users that I find are too hostile that it gets in the way of their intended messaging. But then, that line is going to be different for everybody.
You don’t achieve that level of wealth ethically or without exploitation, no matter how much business you’re doing
That’s actually really cool!
Mobile-only… I don’t think that’s as much of a flex as they think it is
I was expecting this to be about some recent online game, but nope… PSP…
how many other car company CEOs buy social media sites to troll and shitpost? not many I suspect
Can’t answer your first question, but to the second, it’s probably a portfolio piece for someone looking to get a job working with GenAI. There’s, unfortunately, a lot of money in it right now
well, if whatever code automatically turns plaintext links into hyperlinks isn’t Markdown related, then it’s still the instance or client you’re using that has the problem. before they edited the trailing space in, it was working correctly on my end. You should consider looking into it and filing a bug.
That would seem to be a failure of your client’s or instance’s Markdown parsing. The link works correctly from Mbin.
There is an issue on the Mbin repo asking for that as an option if you are or know a developer with free time
seriously - too many people see criticism of Israel’s government and read it as condemnation of all Jews. As if it’s the case that that government represents all Jewish people worldwide (or even all Jewish people in Israel…!)
It’s like people are thinking that wanting Israel to stop its genocide also means there should be another genocide targeting Jews?? Nuance beyond that sort of black-and-white polarized viewpoint seems to be increasingly dead.
