

Personally I just run gotop at startup and keep it on my second monitor. I know it’s a small waste of resources but I enjoy watching the blinkenlights.

I don’t have a whole network setup like the rest of you guys, but I’ve been naming my desktop pc’s SHODAN ever since I built my first one. Secondary/partner’s pc is named XERXES. I’ll probably never change them.

I’m a technically savvy but new to Linux user who installed Mint as my primary OS about a month ago. So far I’ve used Flatpaks and AppImages without any issue and haven’t come across snaps. Would you explain the differences and why I would care about one over another?
Cyberpunk works great on Proton 7. I was playing it last night. It crashes on updated/experimental Proton but l forcing compatibility to Proton 7.0-6 I played for about 4 hours with no issues.
I’m starting to get the impression that most software older than me is defined more by what it isn’t than by what it is.
I’ve had middling results using “Lemmy Fediverse” in search strings instead of just “Lemmy”. You still get a lot of Motorhead though.
