I’m just saying, there is a clear double standard in this post/comment section in general where Valve gets a pass.

Steam is a launcher.
Bye bye Steam. No more of that easy proton integration.
It’s not so different, and could involve semen!
Us weebs can use uke and seme.
My current job is in an office/call center that used to be a Famous Barr at a mall. It’s funny, I worked in that mall as a teen/early 20’s. Now I’m back working at the fucking mall XD (tho now I’m provisioning telephone service and processing telecom orders, not sweeping up in a movie theater or trying to upsell people at a shop)
Avoid hoarding? I don’t understand. My 30 TB file server can be expanded further still.
The answer to question 1, to me, seems to be that it is promising to replace workforce acrossamy fields. This idea makes investors and Capitalists (capital C, the people who have and want to keep the money) drool. AI promises to do jobs without needing a paycheck.
I’m not saying I believe it will deliver. I’m saying it is being promised, or at least implied. Therefore, I agree, there’s a lot of grift happening. Just like crypto and NFTs, grift grift grift.
Bröthër may I have some lööps
But have you heard the latest hilarious thing? Windows… BAD! Hahaha! My goodness, I’m sure you never could have imagined. Also, I use Arch, in case you were wondering.

AMEN! I asked recently if there was a good Linux alternative to this program I used in Windows called “Bulk Rename Utility” and i was flooded by people telling me how easy it was to set up a script to do what I want.
Turns out the best alternative is running BRU in Wine.
I’m a fan of Steam. People will complain about monopolies but then want there to be a monopoly for this kind of software.
