you’d wish, but the thing with drugs is “you” (the drugs in you) wanna continue even in poverty and homelessness
the pi’s serving me very well for now, load average at idle 0.01 and when doing stuff it hovers at around 50, temps under 40°C even under load and an extremely low noise level (not to mention the almost non-existent power draw)
if one day I decide to go full homelab with proxmox and stuff i might buy a dedicated tower but I don’t see the appeal atm
docker-ify everything, my nginx, nextcloud, pihole, jellyfin, and basically everything else is a nightmare and I can’t even begin to understand how to modify the shit that 2023 me did 2023 chatgpt spat out, so having everything in some neat docker composes is gonna help immensly
also making the Pi that everything’s hosted on boot of an SSD instead of a cheap chinese SD card, but that requires money and I’m all out
we’re in the same boat, but it does the job and stays under 45°C even under load, so I’m not complaining
usually college networks have a Mac address whitelist, so you need to turn off Mac spoofing in order to connect
after reading all the comments I still have no idea what the hell crowdstrike is
but most importantly, did you inject or snore
Edit: snort, fuck autocorrect
the same people who bought the bath water, I guess
No, mull is a fork of Firefox meant for android and developed by the divestOS team, while mullvad is a completely different fork, only for desktop atm and developed by mullvad (the VPN company)
they both focus on privacy and integrate Tor patches and modify some configs to better resist fingerprinting, but mullvad browser goes a step further with the tor integration, going as far as storing all data in RAM, so it deletes every cookie, history etc on restart. Could be an advantage, could be a disadvantage, up to you
My guess would be that companies will probably go after the 99.9% of people that torrent on public trackers, while ignoring private ones since it’s not worth it to go to all that trouble just to track the last 0.1%
doesn’t Anna’s archive already include those two sources or is it incomplete?
yea PC power supplies do need the earth pin, but i’m surprised the usb also shocked you, maybe a faulty adapter?
I agree on having earth on sockets, but why do you need a earth pin on plugs if it’s not going to be used
the non grounded plugs are usually only used on double isolated devices, like your phone charger.
double isolated basically means all the outputs are only referenced to each other and not to ground, so you won’t get a shock by touching a usb plug, where you absolutely would if you touched live wire, where the reference is earth
what’s the fun in modding if not the two hours where you think you’ve bricked everything and you’re scrambling through a 52 page post on XDA trying to find someone with your same problem
damn, i only followed the dramma for the first couple posts, do you mind posting a link to read the third one?
