I was really expecting to see Saddam Hussein somewhere in this picture. I admit, I looked pretty hard.
With our current handling of the planet, probably not much.
But if all dogs are as big as dinosaurs, then Clifford is no longer special. He’s no longer Clifford the Big Red Dog. He’s then just Clifford the Normal Sized Red Dog. I just don’t think he’d be as big of a deal in that universe.
I guess he’s still got the red thing going for him?
✓ Okay, boomer.
Throwing a dart at that poster and letting that determine your fate, right?
I actually very recently tried it. I’m sure it’s great but something about the UI or maybe general paradigm switch versus apps like Notion really confused me. It looks great though, so I’m sure I’ll give it another go sometime when I have a bit more time to really learn it. Nonetheless, I appreciate the recommendation!
Type K looks the happiest.
I’m still stuck on Notion. I keep looking for OSS alternatives but nothing I’ve tried has all the features I want.
My reaction when I saw file explorer:
Probably not in that dude’s queen bed (unless y’all are into that).
Right? Though just imagine if routers ran Windows 11. They’d need 8 GB of RAM, phone home constantly, and have ads on the admin dashboard. Also, shoehorned in AI.
I probably shouldn’t post this. Don’t want to give them ideas.
Great comment, but something I’d disagree on:
As an example, Mint is built on the Ubuntu base, Bunsen is built on Debian, etc. These are often called flavors as they’re not considered distros but rather something built on top of a distro.
From my understanding, those would generally still be referred to as distros in their own right. I’ve always understood a flavour to be a variant of a specific distro. For example, kubuntu is the KDE flavour of Ubuntu.
Yeah, it’s the same for me. Work is so I have the money I need to live, but free time is so much more valuable to me.
People like this, by simply existing, make me feel like a real dumb piece of shit.
My breaks from real work are video games, TV, and this sort of shit posting we’ve got going on in this thread right here.
I don’t know how but I do know that those are indeed some fierce eyebrows in that picture.
Package manager: This package contains an updated sshd_config file, would you like to replace your existing file with the package maintainer’s updated file?
Me, every time: LOL, no
I generally avoid even watching a 30 second video link, but I’m not even an American and ended up watching all 45 minutes of this. That was a great talk - thanks for sharing it.
Also, if you’re a dentist by trade you’d be better off as a prostitute. (Literally as per the article.)
Right? At this point I’m just sticking with WordPress because I can’t be bothered to migrate a bunch of sites off of it. Every year for the past decade it’s felt jankier. Tumblr’s backend has to be a dumpster fire for this to seem like a good idea.
My criticism aside, WP still has the convenience factor of being the open source web platform that has a plugin for just about any need. Whether those plugins are gonna break for site or introduce interesting new vulnerabilities is a different discussion.
