I deleted Plex from my barely functional home server.

I’ll give Jellyfin a try. I just want to be able to access my music away from home

Mint. I’ll have to check that out. I have quite a bit of music and I’d love to be able to listen wherever.

I’m going to check out the TRaSH guides. I’m using Linux and I’ve had a very difficult time getting anything set up. Plex keeps dropping my external connection and Jellyfin absolutely wouldn’t see my external drive, even after monkeying with groups and permissions. I don’t doubt that most of my issues are due to my ignorance.

I’ve been downloading more and more FOSS apps either from GitHub or F-Droid. I’ve been trying to avoid anything Google or from the Play Store.

Like others have said, I don’t mind paying a subscription if there’s a service on the backend that I find useful, such as SoundCloud or Burner.

Even then, I’m thinking I might end my SoundCloud subscription. I use it and Spotify to get listening suggestions but I’m hoping to find a better way to find music I might like but don’t know anything about.

I blocked the bot as soon as I learned how. The ratings are a joke - mostly because of its American bias.

Using Summit on Android. I tried Thunder and Jerboa, but Summit has been the best.

I’ve been using Nicotine+ for SoulSeek and I’ve been able to find just about everything I’ve been looking for.

It has a “Wish List” feature that I’ve used a couple of times.

I’ll look into this. This is kinda my holiday gift to myself.

Any good sites to buy? I’m trying to avoid Walmart and Amazon.

I’m not an idiot but I have no idea where to even begin. I have a 3D printer and I will need to make small, somewhat simple parts for a couple of projects I’m working on.

I feel that. When I do make a friend, I get too excited and act way over the top. I scare them away. It just happened a couple of weeks ago again.

It’d be great if I could remember what happened this last time so I could do better next time. I’m hoping it won’t be another few years.
