Good sunsets are frequently man-made too, the most beautiful red glowing ones own their look to dust - air pollution.
Oooh, 3D printed mole crap.
Any idiot in a car can kill me at any time, because he’s getting road rage. I’m living in Europe, grew up in the 80s where nuclear war was a very real danger that could break out any moment, vaporizing all the cities. Even though we were allies of the US, highways were prepared to be outfitted with nuclear mines so the Russians couldn’t roll all over Western Europe. We have a war right now next to our countries which could turn into WW3 at any time. A close friend of mine is Bosnian, she has seen the fighting in the Balkans few years agom
People kill each other all the time, because they consider each other bad persons. I just refuse to live in fear.
And the longer I live, the more I believe in violence as a legitimate defense. If someone shot Putin tomorrow, I would be happy. If someone had shot Hitler in the 30s the would would probably have been a better place.
So where is the line that divides killing someone is a good thing vs a bad thing? I used to believe it is always evil, but I can’t anymore.
They might just try a cold pull or two before changing the nozzle. (Depening on the printer. On my Ender 3 Nozzle swaps were a no brainer - 2 minutes, on my current SV08 they are 15 min of work and 45 min of soaking the old nozzle in Isopropanol to get the thermistor out without ripping the cables)
As I get older I more and more have a problem with #1, I don’t like a lot of people.
Of course, there’s a small percentage I percieve as interesting. But they also need to see me as interesting, be available, need to be open to dating, agree on finding out if we. match before committing, have at least a bit of fun with my sexual kinks, have healthy relationship patterns, have polical views in a way we wouldn’t fight about etc. etc.
If each of these factors has a probability we can multiply them to get the overall probability of me dating successfully.
That’s my personal Drake Equation of dating successfully. When I was younger, some of these factors looked different, I was less selecting (liked more people) and I would ignore a lot of my needs and wants.
Like the original https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation, which predicts it’s really really improbable to find alien life, my personal Drake Equation Of Dating says it’s nowadays. mostly improbable I’ll find a woman I want to be with.
I think a few more factors are important to me nowadays, and even when I’m willing to compromise in a lot of others - I’m currently not really believing it’s worth the effort anymore.
In metric land we simply state the size of the mattress. I’ve got a 160cm wide and 220cm long bed, for example.
Length is typically 200cm, but sometimes I encounter 190cm beds in hotels (which are too short for me, as I’m 1,92m tall). 220cm beds are extra long (and mine was 200x220 before I cut the aluminum profiles to reduce it to 160x220 after I divorced)
Note how we also measure humans in meters and beds in centimeters, but it’s just a matter of a decimal point/comma.
Wow. Sleep - it isn’t as I try to get good sleep every day, but the moment I lie down my brain gets into overdrive.
Exercise - great. If I wasn’t bored to death while doing exercise it might work.
Music - great. I get headphones and start vibing to the music, forgetting what I wanted to do in the first place, but I apply creativity and make AMAZAING playlists…
Really, who ever wrote all that down has no ideas what ADHD is. These are calming ideas for normies.
Watching funny movies - yep, I do that for four or six hours at a time, but it doesn’t make me more productive.
Sun - hmm, all the vitamins I take haven’t cured me, neither did crusing in my old convertible getting sunburn on my neck and arms
Pets - You really want a pet to stay at my place, where I have to regularly take care about them? Poor pet. I might forget feeding for a few days. O. t. o. h. I have a lot of plants, every single one quite drought resistant by natural selection.
Stay positive - yeah, as long as my impulsivivity isn’t giving me intrusive ideas.
Ok, I have lived all my life with my own ADHD brain, and I really do have a number of strategies that help. But crap like this guide trivializes the struggle and it doesn’t make me calm, it just makes me angry.
STOP TRIVIALIZING.
He’s in General Error’s unit.
I used expect a lifetime ago to reliably talk to a bunch of very strange ISDN modems.

I think something like expect also exists for more modern languages, but tcl is still easy enough to learn (just a little unusual, everything is a string)
Yeah, a minority of people voted for Hitler, too.
