Thanks!
I am gonna watch tonight when I get home. I would love to start working on the fediverse. I have a lot of ideas. I just never learned to code and not quite sure how to get started.
Thanks!

I believe the accusation is that the admins and moderators had a discord server that they were coordinating harassment campaigns from.
Hard to believe how many of us there actually are, yet social media has conditioned us into believing a website is dead unless it has 50 million daily visitors.
We certainly aren’t hurting for content (well, yes, we are, but the archive is being built as we speak.)
It’s Investigation Discovery.
There is 0% chance it has any pro-Luigi sentiment.
Thank you!
This is who Elon wanted his daughter to be. A broccoli-topped, cheddar-smelling dipshit who obeys his every command.
Elon, your daughter chopped her balls off, and they are still bigger than yours will ever be.
Like your daughter, I too would change my gender to be counted among the women who’ve known you and determined you are unworthy of love, than spend a second having to be in your proximity.
You are a void of a human being, and you know better than anybody that not a soul alive will mourn your death.
Thankfully this glorious thing is still being built and small enough for your opinion to be seen by those building it.
I disagree, but i think your viewpoint is valid.
…we are building a social web here, that is why.
If you just want a website with rss, why be here?
I’m uncertain what the benefit to federation there is for that content.
Thank you for this article.
However, if i am the only person on my instance and I am blocking federation from known bad actors, I should theoretically be protected.
Thank you for this.
Any particular tutorials you recommend for setting up a first fediverse server?
Thank you.
This has been a lot of help.
Any specific things you think I should prioritize first and then build out from?
I do like the idea of a federated passport essentially, where your subdomain acts as verification it is you.
Thanks for the response. Realistically what am I looking at if I want to do a weekly blog post, and then mostly only posting comments on the various service?
I figure if it is possible to have the actual website not publicly visible, sort of like everything is behind a paywall, but everything behind that pay wall still gets posted to the various services, this just preventing website traffic.
I am finding I like Mastodon the best. Lemmy has potential, but I think the political extremism and lack of hobbyist culture here currently, mixed with the incredibly confusing on-boarding process beginners have to navigate, along with the name, all contribute to making it DOA.
I think it is built using activitypub. Its essentially a mastodon server that has all incoming servers blocked.
I disagree.
We know what META is about and what they do. We came here because we didn’t want to be treated as products and used as experiments constantly watched by “AI algorithm”.
The smartest thing anybody ever said to me is, “don’t let a pimp have access to the battered woman’s shelter.”
Almost all of us are here because we have either always thought that, or grew to think that.
Piracy doesn’t take money from artists, just ask Cory Doctorow, a person making their living as a writer while uploading the torrents of his novels himself.
Corporate consolidation is what kills the artists. The studios make less movies per year, so the a list actors go to television and take the roles Rob Morrow used to get.
You made an offer likely knowing what content your mother consumed.
Also, doing this for her means those charlatans aren’t actually getting her money.
Something to consider in favor of doing your mom a solid.
Just make sure you out satanic films in the folder and rename them to Christian themed titles.
Legacy media isn’t dead, it was murdered.
I will continue not using that zombie company to get my information. But fear not, NYT, for every human that no longer reads, 10,000 bots will.
