Bit of an oxymoron, no?
Thanks. Bookmarking for future reference.
Deploy database? You mean something like SQL?
chmod 777
do?True. I think I’ll switch to Arch proper soon.
Didn’t know if it was supported but this clears it up. Thanks.
Do I have to use PC receiver or is that unnecessary?
Thanks. Clear up a few things.
I’m completely lost. Can someone fill me on what the hell is going on?
The thing that I love most about Lemmy and the wider Fediverse is the sense of actual community. Many of the users feel like actual people I could meet in real life. It’s essentially a digital cafe. Sure as hell not going back to Reddit or those other shit Big Tech sites.
HOLY SHIT! YES! Thank you so much! I thought that drive was a goner. I was on the verge of just buying a new SSD. You just saved me a couple hundred bucks. Thank you once again!
I went ahead tried this but got an error when using makepkg -si
:/home/[username]/ntfsprogs-ntfs3/PKGBUILD: line 45: autoreconf: command not found
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
Aborting...
I went to file in question and line 45 says this: autoreconf -vfi
That’s the thing: I don’t have Windows installed on that SSD. I double checked.
Circa 2015-2016. I was still dual booting Win 10 and Ubuntu at the time. It was a pain in the ass.
Funny, I remember seeing this meme years ago. Still, very true.
This fiasco demonstrates why open source is the superior software model.
Looks interesting. If this is a web comic, where can I read the rest?
While I’m yet to do it myself, I would suggest getting a Thinkpad T480 and upgrading its RAM. The reason you want a T480 is because it was the last Thinkpad to have user removable parts. One tip: when using eBay, make sure you filter out the T480s. The T480s is not the same as the T480 since it doesn’t have user removable parts.
I also tried finding a dumb 4K TV some time ago and, yeah, they don’t exist. 4K TVs were a good tech that came out at the wrong time.
