Certainly. I have the entire instance blocked as their moderation, admins, and plenty of the users I’ve interacted with are unpleasant. It’s no Hexbear or Grad, but it’s enough that my experience is better without their communities.

I personally care because most of my family is American and because Canadian politics often echo what’s going on in the U.S. Pierre Polievre wouldn’t be seeing as much success if he didn’t have Trump’s culture war nonsense to use as inspiration. A lot of people outside of America still care very much about U.S. politics because it does have an effect on global affairs.

Because the policies those people put into effect have very real consequences for citizens. Especially when one candidate is openly hostile towards significant marginalized groups in society and wishes to bring them harm. This isn’t a team sport. This is a struggle for survival for many who stand to lose a lot of rights and freedoms for simply being who they were born as.

So yes, we should care who wins. Those two people are your options. Third party is not.

Basically, Dogg did a 180 and went from attacking Trump to supporting him because Trump got his buddy and co-founder of his first label Michael Harris off of Death Row. He went from making anti-Trump music and being publicly known for messing with Trump to suddenly going “he ain’t done nothing wrong to me, he has only done good things for me. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”

It sounds entirely self-serving if you ask me, kissing the ass of Donald Trump because he did something nice for you even though he’s still hurting the very culture Snoop claims to represent. What a fucking traitor. Fuck Snoop Dogg.
