It’d be very easy to take some LLM text about some product, run it through a text to speech converter then quietly expose the phone to it (like put a earbud up to the mic). This way you could easily create a blind or a double blind test, you don’t know what product that this set up has been rambling about into the phone for the past twelve hours and you have to pick it out from the ads you’re served.

Of course, given how jank what we’ve decided to call “AI” is if you tried to make a real Slaughterbot it’d probably be blowing up random people or patches of the wall that it thought looked like a face.

Huh, I never knew that Outer Limits episode was (very loosely from the Wikipedia synopsis) based on a George R. R. Martin story.

High altitude northern California. It’s snow and ice during the winter, high and dry desert during the summer and alternates during the spring and fall. This May it went from 80 degree weather to freezing at night in the space of two days and then back again in the same span. Also, my yard is subsoil fill, I’ve been gardening for years and my garden bed soil is only just getting to marginal.

I’m planning on growing some normal petunias first. Then once the price has come down a bit (and I have some experience keeping petunias alive and overwintering them indoors) I’ll grab a Firefly plant.

I did however buy some of those new purple tomatoes. Hopefully they’ll do well enough I’ll be able to make some crosses I want to try (Early Girl and San Marzano).

I think that last thing is a sink. In fact, it appears to be the only sink in the kitchen, picture trying to use that thing to wash some crud off a pan or something.

I bought some of those GMO Purple tomatoes and I am super psyched to try them out. Right now I have three plants in pots indoors, one cutting in water (extra seedling from one of the pots) and some in my seed starting tray (which I over watered so they’re not doing so hot). I’m planning to start hardening them off next month.
