So this gives the impression that it’s simply a clique that runs around ‘running things’ and by that, just kissing ass to mods and making you out to be the problem when it was started by them.

With politically charged content and just random pricks mixed in, it’s going to be a hard sell for anybody to stick around here on Lemmy. Moreso, the lack of niche communities, will not give anyone a sense of belonging.

Nah, not for me. I’ve known to use Windows OSes beyond their EOL support. I remember having still been on Windows XP while everyone else went to Vista and then to Win7. When I got to Win8, it was only because I bought another computer from a friend that had it, that was how I got upgraded.

I don’t abide by when Microsoft wants me to upgrade by, if they can pull their heads out of their asses (unlikely) for Windows 12, then I might consider.

Considering the political climate shift, I expect both of these to pass anyways.
