HDD for long term storage. More reliable, has a higher number (essentially infinite assuming the drive never fails) of read/writes before failing. Cheaper and higher capacity than any ssd or m.2. Also if you dont keep applying a small electrical charge to an m.2 they eventually lose the data. HDD doesnt really lose data as easily. Also data recovery is easier with HDD. Finally you know when a HDD is on its way out as it will show slower write speeds and become noisier etc.

I used to work in a service desk looking after maybe… 4000 desktops and 2000 laptops for a hospital and the amount of ssd and m.2 failures we had was very costly.

  • The point that should be taken from your comment is not that they replaced the sugar with something else because we dont yet know if the aspartame is better or worse than sugar, though we do k ow that sugar is bad in large quantities.

What should be noted is that the study found that sugar consumption has halved, which seems to be a no brainer as the majority of soft drinks either contain half the amount or no sugar. I belive in the UK at least pepsi has half the sugar and almost everything else has no sugar. Coke is the only one that still has the full sugar content it had before. But they sell coke zero at such a low price now and push it with alternative flavours that it is being consumed in higher quantities than ever.

The point being, yeah, the tax stopped drinks makers using sugar so the sugar consumption dropped.

Like i stopped using salt to season my food and i found that my salt intake lowered… wow. Thats crazy.

  • Its a bit misleading. Black clothes will absorb the heat from the sun and your body and then the clothes will cool via convection. So the wind blowing through the clothes takes the heat away. White will reflect the heat from the sun away and your body back towards you.

Im sure theres some debate and probably way more to it but i have always felt more comfortable in the heat than other people and i wear darker clothes the majority of the time. If that anecdote bares any weight.
