Start making things from scratch. Stop buying shit.
Opt-out.

Straight up bullshit and a completely half-baked, ill-considered, ill-conceived idea. Completely disconnected from reality.
Go get therapy, you clearly need some mental help. The music in your head is completely disconnected from reality.
You got downvoted for your tantrum
Oy.
Yes, these self-reporting polls have been used for decade as one measurement device. They were fine when it was self-evident what “smoking”, “drinking”, and “drugs” meant.
Now the issues are far more complex and nuanced, and we now live in a world where the pharmacological knowledge of today’s random 14yo outshines what I would have learned in 2nd year university in the 90s.
Kids drink cough syrup recreationally because “that’s not drugs”. We still live in world of denial where benzos are “drugs” but alcohol isn’t because idk I guess the active molecules are suspended in liquid?
Young people have been propagandized and lied to, to the point many don’t even know if they’re “smoking” or not.

Exactly. Good music never ever goes where you expect and should always suspend the listener in a delightful unease.
I’m a non-musician that love jazz, fusion, prog, etc. What I need from music is human rhythm. I am revolted by Bach style mathematical fugues and so forth, they’re different… not music in the way my mind and heart thinks of music.
It’s hard for people to understand, but there was a time from the late 70’s to early 80’s where after a screen “transition” whatever came up next on the screen was called a “new page”.
So if you were playing Intellivision AD&D going in a dungeon from the overworld was a “new page”. Or playing Karate Champ… going from the Title Screen to the Fight Mechanics part was thought of as a “new page”. Beating the first maze arrangement of Ms Pac Man would bring you to the next maze on “page 2”.
This is exactly what needs to be said. Thank you!
When I did my 4 years of attachment therapy, and I gave it everything I had, I could literally feel the structure of my brain changing.
Not thought patterns changing (which they did) I’m talking about the actual physical structure of my brain. New pathways were forged and old ones closed forever. It very much reminded me of how I could feel my brain developing when I was teaching myself to program at the age of 13-16… and thinking so hard that my brain felt like it was literally overheating.
It’s a crazy experience to have as a human - to literally not be able to construct old thought, or emotion frameworks, because the physical structure required for them doesn’t exist anymore. To have memories reduced to “that happened” while no longer being able to recall any relevant details.
Kindly do not portray DDG as an “alternative” because it is now trash as well.
2 years ago it was the alternative, today its a sidegrade at best
The thing about HAES is that it has always been a wolf in sheep’s clothing
The very origins going back to the '60s come from “we aren’t happy that we are fat and viewed as unattractive, so lets change what people think is attractive.”
Health related concepts were thrown in to legitimize the argument and to act as a convenient red herring.
Yes there is always been a shame reduction aspect, but that shame reduction has been consistently used to enable further self destructive behavior.
It is a highly poisonous mindset that has set back public health by decades.
The concern is valid but “You can’t post from behind a VPN” and “I’m being silenced” are two very different things.
Well, welcome to moron city.
