Thank you for the clarification.
Thank you for the clarification.
Sounds like the exploit is really just consolidating the unencrypted secrets that were stored by devs in public logs. Or am I missing something?
Devs, secure your secrets. Encrypt your secrets. Ensure secrets don’t show in plain text in your logs. Audit your third party usage.
The AUR page for ryujinx is still up and the upstream repo still works.
Yeah, most of the open source models that do the upscaling were meant for anime waifus. Also, cartoons don’t often have things out of focus in a frame like live action does.
I’ve tried upscaling an old cartoon from 1080p to 4k using some open source models and it worked quite well. However when I tried to add frames with interpolation, it added a bunch of frames that were quite horrific, especially during quick movements.
I also tried to upcale a 90s live action class so I could see some of the details the instructor was showing. It was not near as good and even without frame interpolation, there were a bunch of new artifact glitches that were added so I didn’t keep that version.
I love freetube for my android and Linux PCs.
If someone is complaining about windows, or raising privacy concerns that Linux would solve, or just talking about price options, then I think it’s perfectly fair to mention Linux.
Right now the biggest issue with Linux is that some software is not made for it. With more Linux market share, devs have a higher incentive to build software for Linux. Like imagine if videogame devs didn’t think they needed windows to work, or Mac to run adobe.
I agree…I Linux game in Arch btw.
Ehh, it’s not like Linux is perfect. And if we want more Linux adoption it’s good to have different perspectives and be made aware of things that perhaps we haven’t thought of. It could be useful to vent about Linux through memes if we can have proper discourse and are willing to work collaboratively to solve issues.
I’m talking about not needing anything installed on the server though. Like you don’t need sudo. If the server has ssh then you can use Emacs to edit a file on it
I used to think this way. Until I found that with emacs you can edit any file on an SSH enabled computer remotely. Meaning that not only are you no longer constrained by what the computer has installed. But you can use your personality configured editor while editing that file. It’s called tramp.
BTW, with Emacs you can use vim key bindings evil-mode, so don’t stress about that.
Text to speech (TTS) has come a long way, even open source projects.
I’ve recently been using TTS to read pdfs to me while I do yardwork and its not super easy to tell just by the voice that its not a human. Biggest issue seems to be with math formulas.
In a year it will be hard to tell the difference unless they read something that a human would have skipped.
I like Nintendo games but I won’t buy new hardware to play them.
So that means om also not in Nintendo’s target market. Which means they loose my business. But, what if they just let me play their games on my hardware? Then I could like… Give them money for those games right? An official emulator would allow for that.
If I can currently play nintendos newest and best games on my Linux PC using an open source emulator that was legally made without the help of Nintendo or its source code. It would be much simpler for Nintendo to make that emulator than random open source devs without any real resources, documentation, or source code.
Some websites don’t immediately work on my computer because I use Firefox with noscript. Does that mean I should have a special device from lego so I can reliably view Lego.com?
Just look at the amount of contributors and releases since the fork. Its more than just an archive.
Totally agree. I think another crazy thing is that Nintendo knows how easy it is to emulate their latest games when developers are doing it without source code legally.
Like imagine if nintendo just saved the effort and money they otherwise would spend on R&D, manufacturing, shipping, and promotion, litigation on new consoles every so often and just released an official emulator instead. It would be so much better for the environment to let people use their own hardware and they could just focus mostly on making games.
At minimum, they could do both and have an option to sell games to people that don’t want another device to play media that their current devices already are capable of. And slowly phase out the console.
I use Arch BTW, so I just use ryujinx from the AUR. The upstream git repo was updated to one that is in active development and is working better than ever.
Here are the latest stable releases for all platforms
Also, fuck Google. I’ve been removing the word from my lexicon. I say, let me search (or research) that instead
It looks beautiful and it sounds like it could be affordable. This kind of thing really excites me.
However I have some questions about the design.
Those ceramic tiles look really cool. They seem to be burnished on the outside. He talks about the cure time being really quick but wouldn’t you still have to fire them? Many kilns wouldn’t fit something that large.
Another thought is that this seems like it would be terribly insulated. Like wouldn’t the ceramic be conductive? I doubt the hemp fibers alone is enough of a thermal block. There might be insulation between 2 layers of tile but the ceramic frame itself seems like it would not be great. I wonder if it would be possible to use timber for the frame?
I also think realistically, you need at least one large flat wall for things like an electrical panel/sub panel and battery banks. In the current configuration, the small dome seems like this is less suitable for a home and more for storage or maybe a green house assuming it doesn’t get too cold inside. Maybe it could be improved if it was semi subterranean or had a heat sink like a fish pond?
Its not a complete list but check out https://distrosea.com/
This looks almost exactly like the ones I had. They were from the 70s and needed replacement to stop the lights from flickering.
