Wait how is it not the fediverse?
Wait how is it not the fediverse?
This community is actually pretty active!
That’s so cool!!
Somehow this website just goes to https://example.com/ ?
But isn’t the intention of the fediverse to keep our people just trying to make money? Even a chill podcast needs to make money.
Although maybe since the fediverse gives users/instances so much control we could keep them in line hahaha
Tbf if you want a big following for ads and such you need to use whatever has the people on it.
Lemmy is great for personal hobbies and enjoyment, but not running/advertising a business (which I assume the podcast is).
And it should probably stay that way? Not sure.
But I’m of the opinion that stuff like Instagram/Fb/X will always be around, but I’ll stick with things like Lemmy for personal stuff.
Just looked it up. Is it shipping or just an idea? Seems clever tho!
Honestly it’s a cool idea to have a portable printer though, and it could be achieved but just differently.
Like what if you just took the basic design of a normal 3d printer, but made it snap apart and back together, and then made those pieces fit into the briefcase?
You’d just need two vertical pillars, one horizontal rod. Then the print bed itself could move in either the x or y dimentions since the print head would be stationary in one direction.
Hope that makes sense but in my head this solution is way more practical even if you needed to do a calibration after each setup.
Yeah for real I feel like if I log back into LinkedIn and update my profile I start suddenly getting more spam lol
As far as networking you’ve got the right idea, there’s no reason to rely solely on designated networking sites for it.
Start with literally anyone you know (close friends and family) and go from there :)
Testing Summit rn but will def keep it in mind
Technically you can use anything for job networking, it’s not necessary for it to be"designed" for networking.
A Lemmy instance about your industry/niche could be a good place to meet people in your industry, and even hire ppl or search for ppl hiring.
I agree in some ways and not in others. Having no ads gives Summit a big leg up for me, but there are some interfaces that aren’t super intuitive.
On Android (not sure if it’s on iOS) I like that it feels more native than boost.
Shit this is pretty good
Gonna download now and give it a try. Currently using Boost but trying a few different options to see what works best. A lot of people suggested Voyager but I didn’t like it very much.
Interested to see people’s thoughts here!
Thanks for showing me this I didn’t know fossify existed
I figured it out thanks! For some reason I had to restart my phone and it finally worked.
At first it wouldn’t update to fossify when I tried, so everytime it would only give me the everytime/just this once toggle for Google photos.
Actually perfect no fancy add ons just pics!
I’m having an issue when viewing videos with it though - for some reason it won’t let me set fossify gallery as the default video viewer so everytime I have to click it after clicking on a video. Do you know how to set the default video app to fossify?
Agreed, love it!
