Engines has things like Google Scholar, Arxiv, Pubmed, etc.
Default Categories, Science will show results from those things first.

As much as I shouldn’t be at this point I’m always amazed at what shows up in the router logs at work, or when someone hands me their phone. People routinely hand me their phone then go to get coffee. They stay logged in to everything all the time. WiFi, Bluetooth always on everywhere.

Many email providers have a ‘do not load images’ setting. The two I use, Tuta Mail, and Proton Mail, both have it and I keep it on. When your mom sends you a photo of her new kitten you can just ‘Tap to show images’ or something similar. Images will not be loaded automatically, you need to do it case by case.
For QR codes in the wild, don’t scan them, if you do use something like Binary Eye which let’s you see the path before they are executed. At least you will know the domain isn’t cryptoscam.com

Reddit ain’t going anywhere fast.
If r/selfhosted has to rely on reddit as it can’t be fucked selfhosting, what chance do other subs have.
I have found Lemmy selfhosted communities excellent, they are not a large as Reddit but there are plenty knowledgeable people, often seflhosting their own little reddit.
There is Open Contacts which also acts as a dialer if you want it too. It creates its own database which could be useful if you don’t want other apps to have your contacts.

If your house has lead soldered pipes that could be an issue. Many (most?) plants tolerate lead well, I wouldn’t want to use it on my tomatoes though. Radon could also be a problem for indoor air quality.
As far as temperature goes plants wouldn’t be exposed to temps above body temperature, even in a hot climate rain is going to be well below that. In my experience seedlings especially do not like warmer water, when I use it I water around the plant and not at its base.
Whether your plants can benefit from increased minerals is going to depend on the plants needs, the soil mineral content, and the mineral content of your water.
