That’s because ALL generative AI results, even the correct ones, are “made up”. They just exist on a spectrum of coincidental correspondence with reality. I’m still surprised that they manage to get as much right as they do.
Yeah, this isn’t a general test of “factualness”, it’s a very narrow and specific subset of capability that many of these AIs were not designed for.
That being said, it does not change my already poor opinion of generative AI.
True, but communication could still be a problem.
Generally this kind of probe will have a highly directional antenna that has pretty strict limits on it’s aim. We would have to be very lucky for the antenna to not get damaged during the fall and end up in a position where it can still establish a connection. Even if all the science is fine, it’s as good as useless if it can’t communicate any results or accept commands.
How would a secondary power source save it from being tipped over? That’s a mission ending failure no matter how many redundant power sources you have.
Looks like Trump just found some new ICE officers!
This doesn’t sound like it’ll help you now, but I’m the future, you really should have cloud synced backups of that kind of thing.
And you don’t see that as a problem for most users?
The cat pictures community mostly.
Op’s criteria wasn’t “is it a good product?”, it was “is it better than Plex?”. Stop taking valid criticism as if it were an attack. If we want software to improve we have to be honest about its shortcomings.
Yes, that’s what we’re saying. It’s fine though, I don’t expect developers to work miracles for free, they are doing an amazing job, but In the context of “Linux being ready” it’s important to recognize some honest truths.
That would be like when they sing for your birthday at a restaurant, but only a billion times worse.
It works for pretzels.
It’s super confusing because “KDE” is literally the acronym for “K Desktop Environment”.
My American brain wants to read it as “FlowMart”, or “Flowmark”. Neither of which I have a problem with.
Ugh, I just went through the same thing last week. Let’s just say that checking if secure boot had been turned back on was NOT one of the first 500 things that came to mind during troubleshooting.
Wow, you’re almost as full of yourself as Linus. Have a nice day!
Welcome, make yourself at home! Want to put files on your desktop? You can do that here! We’ll still make fun of you for doing it, but you can do it.
Their entire purpose for installing the interconnect was for transferring video files for editing. If that’s the only thing it’s going to be used for, there is no better test than doing exactly that. Iperf isn’t going to tell you the windows file transfer speed, only Windows file transfers will.
I hate the guy too. He’s a smarmy jackass that thinks he knows everything. I can’t stand watching him. Unfortunately even idiots get things right on occasion. This was one of those times.
All those resources and costs are borne by the person hosting the video, NOT Plex.
