10 days agoIt’s a stretch, but i wonder if things like the onion, with us laughing at the insane stories has had any impact on the general reaction to what’s happening now. Like people don’t really care.

I promise you, I would risk getting shot every day for a 10 million dollar salary. Many jobs are dangerous for very little pay, give me the cushiest job and maybe somebody murders me?
In general, the employer that purchased the insurance plan decided what they wanted the plan to cover. That’s why you can have great insurance plans when you’re in a union, for example. While for a bottom line, an insurance company wouldn’t want to pay claims, the people actually doing it each day are just following whatever plan guidelines they’re given. This death will do absolutely nothing.
Are you an illegal immigrant or otherwise ineligible to vote? How else would you be proving him right?
What stops them from just saying what people want to hear, then doing what their party wants? There’s no accountability because you wouldn’t know that the party that lied last election is saying the same thing this election.
1·7 months agoYes. Since the mascot is an elephant, it’s Toots instead of Tweets. To the other person’s point, toots are fine for what I showed, anime type channels, but less legal things like piracy, onlyfans leaks, etc. wouldn’t be great there, since it’s not a private group of just the interested parties.
Way bigger. You could have many thousands.

To people thinking of joining Nebula because their marketing team/shills are currently spamming this thread, see peertube (federated like lemmy, open source)
Peertube is fine, but like lemmy (but worse), there’s barely anything there. Nebula at least got creators from YouTube to make ad-free versions for Nebula. If the channels that a person are subscribed to don’t exist in Peertube, that’s not an appealing alternative for them.
Don’t worry, they were already bought by Canva. It’s just early and we’re waiting to see if/what that changes.
I bought affinity because I’m tired of subscriptions so… hopefully they don’t do that too.

I learned about kagi when I got here on Lemmy and I’ve been using it since. Sucks that it costs money but they’re not making money elsewhere, that i know of, so it can’t just be a loss leader and free.
