Guess this is where you end up after sailing the sea of cheese.

Dang, your weren’t kidding with the price of a used x220 (I have an x230 that I got for less I’m currently seeing on ebay a while back, and the only thing that really made me switch to something newer was the screen). Maybe a newer thinkpad or an hp elitebook? I think as long as you have something newer than a 2nd Gen I series chip, there really shouldn’t be an issue if you’re basically just using it for text processing. If you start with models with ddr3 and sata drives you should be able to get very cheap replacement parts for a while yet.
Because Democrats are mostly pretty sane and generally normal. Most Republicans are pretty delusional, but some are just bonkers and very weird about their beliefs (not completely sure, but I think a somewhat apt analogy might be to the AfD party in Germany, as several of the same talking points are shared between both).
Not really a gag, more a term that Tim Walz (Harris’ VP pick) coined describing Republicans that has stuck like glue due in large part to it being absolutely true. The more you watch Trump’s inner circle, the weirder it gets. And the more people that realize how weird and dumb some of those people are, the more that some of the less rabid Trump supporters might actually have to start asking questions about who they support when they start being called weird by extension. And they’re not gonna like being called weird.
JD Vance, Trump’s VP pick. The kindest you can say about him (and to be fair a lot of the Republicans) is that he is very, very weird.
Someone with a very unhealthy obsession with couches.
Smaller stuff has to be more complex to get to the lower mass, which is usually what causes the biggest issues. The hdds in those ipods had some extra stuff to make them more reliable, but even then, move them too quickly and they show it.
Thanks! I’ve have to try making sometime, been planning to find a good replacement for mozzarella on pizza, this might help.
Out of curiosity, how well would something like those melt on something like a pizza? Also, thanks for the links!
It’s mostly when you’re trying to optimize for power on a non standard distro. By default, they’re kinda a power hog but you can sorta turn off the gpu when not in use, it’s just fininky because Nvidia doesn’t want open source drivers that can go that low level. Thankfully don’t have to worry about it anymore after getting a non-Nvidia laptop for my latest daily.
