I didn’t say I use DNS based blocking.

I didn’t say I use DNS based blocking.
Why are you telling me this?
I didn’t say I don’t block ads on the phone. Read my other comments here.
I use Revance Manager for patching other apps but youtube app is shit no matter how much you patch it. Prefer NewPipe or even LibreTube over patched Youtube app.
I use NewPipe for Youtube, there are no ads at all.
I use AdGuard for blocking ads phone-wide and if I hadn’t, Vivaldi has a built-in adblocker too.
Bottom line is I don’t see any ads without using uBlock Origin. Original commenter is “surprised more people aren’t using” it like it’s the only way to go, while in reality it usable only in certain scenarios. It’s best for PC but not for mobile.
For which mobile and what extensions manager?
I’m blocking ads phone-wide, I just don’t use uBlock Origin for that on the phone.
I barely ever use PC for browsing web anymore.

I use NewPipe on regular Android but read somewhere it wasn’t recommended to be used on Android TV because it wasn’t designed for it. If you vouch for it working fine then maybe I’ll try it.
The picture: cutting an unplugged cable…
Now that’s more like it. However for android Android (phone, tablet) I already have NewPipe I’m happy with. Does FreeTube work well on Android TV? I use SmartTube and it’s good but it’s not perfect.
… on computer.
It’s annoying though that you can’t save videos to lists or subscribe to channels without logging in to youtube account.
I thought OP meant the music from keygens.
Don’t forget migrating your accounts in various online services if you used Gmail or Google login for registration.
This.
Also, there’s this “connector” in Proton you plug in to Gmail and it downloads all the e-mails and even keeps labels etc.
Last thing - even after migrating everything and updating your e-mail in services, I’d wait with deleting Gooogle account for example a year to make sure you haven’t forgotten about anything. Wait before burning down brigdes, let the Goolge account just sit there lonly, abandoned, forgotten. Set a reminder to delete it.
Paint it however you like, it doesn’t change the facts.
“I know I’m making an idiot of myself but this way I’m making more money”
it’s… surpringly not horrible.
Except for the video thumbnail.
AdGuard installs a small local VPN server on the device and routes traffic through it filtering it as per my settings. It can filter the apps I choose, has the same capabilites as uBlock Origin and more, while uBlock Origin can only filter content within a few select browsers.
